Inglewood, Donald Louis Pierre, 85, passed on November 8, 2020, at 2:32 p.m. at Windsor Terrace Healthcare Center Van Nuys, CA. He was born August 31, 1935, in Beaumont, Texas, the son of Wacey B. Pier and Pearl Marie (Guerin)Pier.
Donald graduated Valedictorian from Charlton Pollard High School class of (1954). Following graduation, he served as a Sergeant with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1955 through 1960 in the Philippines. During his duty, Donald married his first wife, Aparicion Villamor Ezar. After his service, he moved and settled with his daughter Juliet in Los Angeles, California. Donald and Aparicion had two children together, Juliet Marie Pierre and Gregory Joseph Pierre.
Donald Pierre attended Los Angeles City College, graduating with an AA degree. He married his second wife, Loida Corcino, in 1991. Then retired from the Los Angeles Road Department in the Accounting Department in 1993.
Note: It is with loving memory that Donald’s second wife Loida Corcino Pierre also passed November 30, 2020.
In addition to his parents, his three brothers predeceased him; Wacey Pierre, Junior, James Pierre, and Leonard Pierre.
Surviving are his daughter, Juliet Marie (Pierre) Vercelli and her husband George Vercelli, and son Gregory Joseph (Pierre) Silver. Also, surviving are his grandchildren,
Stephen Maurice Silver and his wife Claire Silver, and great-grandchildren
Laura Murrell, Moses Redwood Silver, Tallulah Rose Silver. He leaves his grandsons, Alexander Louis Vercelli, with his fiance’ Evelin Zelaya, and Spencer Dillon Vercelli.
Also are his sisters Gloria Pierre and Emma Jean Pierre. Donald has two sisters by his father’s second marriage Stephanie Muhammad and Gretchen Pier, many family members, including the Guerin cousins Rosalyn, Katherine, John, and their families. The Manuel sisters Lawrencetta, Earthlyn, and Suesette and their families. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews, Raymond, Peggy, Jayne, Michelle, Shawn, Michele, Darryl, Alpha, Honeypot, and their families.
